IPS – Integrated Product Support

Integrated Product Support (IPS) is mandated in defence programmes through the complex ASD specifications — but this holistic approach also creates opportunities. π3C supports you with:

  • Establishing IPS processes tailored to your requirements and circumstances — from requirements engineering through LSA, technical publication and initial provisioning to in-service feedback.
  • Analysing and optimising existing business processes, using methods such as Six Sigma where appropriate.
  • Optimising the IT systems in use, based on the ITIL framework and drawing on years of experience in IT projects — from in-house development to SAP.

Structured methods, applied in line with the ASD specifications or alternatives such as MIL-STD-1388 and GEIA-STD-0007, create the right conditions within your organisation. In doing so, π3C works with our clients to produce solutions rather than merely listing problems. Should you need operational support, π3C will carry out an LSA on your systems or manage entire IPS programmes on your behalf.

LSA – Logistics Support Analysis

Logistics Support Analysis is the systematic planning of logistic support for complex technical systems — π3C helps you develop support concepts that match actual demand and remain economical. π3C supports you with:

  • Developing LSA concepts tailored to your requirements — from requirements analysis through spare parts strategy and staffing to supply chain optimisation to MIL-STD-1388 and S3000L.
  • Carrying out Logistics Support Analysis with a firm focus on implementation — embedded in your existing IPS processes and support structure.

Data management

Training

Technical know-how is only as strong as the people who carry it — and only as effective as the situation in which it is applied. That is why π3C does not build its training around lectures and slide decks, but on a concept in which participants develop the processes themselves and apply them directly on the system: understand, develop, practise. The IPS & LSA training at a glance:

  • Integrated Product Support fundamentals: Based on a continuous practical scenario, participants work out why availability, reliability, LCC and MDT are the key parameters of complex systems — and how the IPS approach contributes to them along the life cycle (ISO 15288) and the ASD specifications.
  • LSA processes in detail: The individual analyses are not merely presented but developed together: from LSA FMECA through RCM and maintenance task analysis (MTA) to level of repair analysis (LORA) — according to S3000L and MIL-STD-1388 respectively.
  • Practising on the system with πIX: What has been learned is applied directly in the πIX systems engineering platform: participants receive access to a training environment and carry out the analyses themselves — turning theory into reliable practice.
  • Formats: online and on site: Both formats are built to be interactive, with group sessions, discussions and learning checks. Scope and in-depth modules are tailored to the prior knowledge and roles of the participants.
