Availability, life cycle costs and the manageability of complex systems are not created during the utilization phase — they are decided in the early phases of development.
This training does not present Integrated Product Support as a body of theory but as a process that is actually lived: participants develop the analyses themselves and apply them directly in the πIX systems engineering platform.
Who is the training for?
The training is aimed at newcomers and those moving into the IPS/ILS field, as well as at specialists who want to deepen individual analyses — for example staff from engineering, logistics, technical documentation, project management or in-service support at manufacturers and operators of complex systems.
No prior knowledge is required: scope, focus areas and in-depth topics are tailored to the roles and the level of knowledge of the participants.
The training concept: understand, develop, practise
A single practical scenario runs through all modules — from the first availability problem to in-service feedback. Instead of consuming definitions, participants work out for themselves, in group sessions, why each IPS element and LSA activity is needed.
Every building block concludes with a learning check, and what has been learned is then applied in the πIX training environment. All content is consistently anchored in the system life cycle according to ISO 15288 and in the ASD specifications — including S3000L, S1000D, S2000M, S4000P and S5000F.

Practising in the πIX training environment
Every module contains hands-on phases in πIX: for the duration of the training, participants receive access to their own training environment and carry out the analyses they have developed themselves — building the system breakdown, running an FMECA, deriving maintenance tasks.
This makes visible how processes turn into data, and data into sound decisions.
Formats and framework
The training takes place on site at your premises or online — both formats are structured interactively, with group work, discussions and learning checks. Recommended group size: up to 10 participants.
Modules can be booked individually or as a complete package; content and examples are adapted to your industry and your systems.
